Your membership entitles you to train at any School in the UK, grade, and compete and you will be registered by the BTC. It lasts for a full year and the cost of membership is £25. If you have taken advantage of the special trial price then only the remaining licence fee of £18 is payable. You need to complete a form and provide 3 passport photos (on renewal only 1 photo is needed). Take your form and photos and hand them to your Instructor in return you will receive your license booklet, which is your passport to Taekwon-Do and must accompany you to every Taekwon-Do event. |

ADDITIONAL COSTS In order to progress in your training there are several additional costs such as kit, gradings and competition. Dobok, which is the Korean name for the training suit can be ordered through us at a cost of £35 for adults and £30 for children. This is a lifetime investment; they are hardwearing and comfortable and can be tailored to your measurements. You will need a dobok for your first grading and to attend any seminars or competitions. You will find it useful to buy a Taekwon-Do Handbook, which costs £17. Seminars are a chance to train with either a Master (7th / 8th Degree) or Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha himself. They last a minimum of 1 hour for children and cost £15, 2 hours for adults and cost £20. Gradings will either follow on from one of the seminars or will be conducted by your local International Instructor and Grading Examiner at a cost of £20. There are 10 seminars in Scotland each year. 3 of these will take place in Dundee. There are 4 national competitions a year, registration fee may vary between £20 and £25. Also, there will be a local and Inter-University competition. |
